had a little moment today…

Driving home from work, and I passed a car all covered in playa dust, 2 bikes strapped to the back, motoring down the 99 towards Vancouver. That was the moment i realized I missed
burning man.

My heart felt real heavy, and I almost wanted to cry. I really wanted to stop them, and touch the playa, smear it on my face. But then I got up along side this playafied vehicle, and saw the tired weary travelers, that looked like they hadn’t showered or slept is days. Then I wasn’t so sad anymore… In fact I was a bit relieved.I can only imagine the creativity you dusty fuckers experienced out in that magic place this summer. You’re a lucky bunch, believe it. Nobody else except you and 52,000 of your closest friends got to experience the temple’s magnitude, or got to climb that big ass sculpture out in deep playa, feel the heatof the fire balls around the man burn. You did it, you lived it, I just watched on Ustream. You are bringing that flame of Burning Man back into our lives for all to experience, all of it’s creativity, love, and excitement.spread it all around, cause it’s your gift, to tell the tale of the playa.

So this is it… it’s burner new years today, and I just ate a nice breakfast free of playa dust, I even have running water for washing my dishes, and life is good. I thought I would really miss the playa, but it’s been OK. Watching the CORE burn on FB was a bit tough, I wanted to be there with my peeps…

Organizing Dust off has been a very good distraction from the lack of playa dust in my life, I just hope you all aren’t to tired from your life changing experiences and other hippie manifestations to make this party go off, like it should!
